Dr. Kristin Ritzenthaler is the Nutrition and Health Executive Director for the Idaho Dairy Council, where she is responsible for the development and execution of nutrition education programs, communications, and health/medical outreach programs throughout Idaho. Before joining the Idaho Dairy Council, Kristin worked as a research assistant at Washington State University where she finished her education and earned her doctorate degree in December of 2002. During her 6 years of graduate work, Kristin researched the health benefits in adults, including breastfeeding women, of a rare, but potent anti-carcinogenic fatty acid found primarily in dairy products, namely conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
